Mouawad Introduces New Watch Collections and Showcases Magnificent Jewellery

Top journalists and bloggers from the UAE gathered at the J.W. Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai yesterday for a breathtaking event hosted by Co-guardians of the Mouawad diamond house, Fred, Alain and Pascal Mouawad. The occasion showcased the brand’s prestigious new collections of luxurious Swiss-made watches and stunning high jewellery.

“We are delighted to introduce our outstanding new watch collections at this special event. This gives us the opportunity to highlight the many focal points of our new ranges, such as the high-end movements, intricate complications and impeccable standards in quality, as well as allowing us to showcase a selection of our one-of-a-kind jewellery suites,” observed Pascal Mouawad.

One of the highlights of the latest Swiss-made timepieces is the introduction of the first chronograph movement manufactured by Mouawad Genève. This was seen in the Grande Ellipse Chrono Mono-Pusher and the Grande Ellipse Chrono Mono-Pusher Tourbillon, both of which are for men. Another innovation to make its debut was the distinguished Grande Ellipse Réveil featuring a mechanical alarm function. Describing the timepieces, Co-guardian Alain Mouawad explained, “After introducing the renowned Mouawad Grande Ellipse and La Griffe in 2013, it gives us immense pleasure to unveil the first chronograph movement developed and manufactured by Mouawad, in addition to other sophisticated and unique watches featuring extremely interesting complications.” Lady watch connoisseurs were not forgotten, and the new La Grande Ellipse Lady and La Bijou Divine collections were also revealed to garner admiration.

Also showcased were Mouawad’s magnificent high jewellery and exquisite masterpieces. With a dazzling array from classic to contemporary styles on offer, these exceptional pieces featured some of the finest diamonds and colored gemstones, as is only to be expected of Mouawad, which has the prestigious De Beers DTC Sightholder qualification through its joint venture company, Premier Diamond Alliance. “Our high jewellery and masterpieces are unique creations that embody Mouawad’s art of bringing the most beautiful stones to life through a heritage of craftsmanship that dates back more than a century. These poetic creations of unique diamonds and rare gems further emphasize the rich Mouawad heritage, and we were delighted to make some of them available for viewing,” said Fred Mouawad.

Luxury bridal and evening wear boutique, Esposa, collaborated with Mouawad for the high jewellery fashion show. Models were dressed in evening gowns from various collections including Monique Lhuillier, Gustavo, Gaby Charbachi, Isabel Sanchis and Gemy Maalouf.
